Ashelle pours thru her books looking for references to the Phyrgean Tree. "Aha!" She exclaims as she finds the passage she is looking for. She began reading to the group.
"The Phrygean Tree is said to have once been a Titan name Phrygea. Phrygea was not only very beautiful, but was able to heal any infliction or impairment. Mortals from around the world travelled to her and she helped them all. Eventually the god Morkoth wondered why he was not getting as many spirits coming to him as in the past. He asked one of the new spirits and she said that Phrygea was able to heal any woe except for old age itself. Morkoth went forth to talk to this mortal and when his eyes fell upon her he was smitten. He took Phrygea to be his wife.
However, the mortal supplicants kept coming. Morkoth tried to keep them away. They were not only bothersome, but Morkoth was jealous that they received more attention than himself. In his anger he locked her up deep in the earth. However, a mortal named Tilius found his way to her and freed her. When Morkoth caought up to Tilius and Phrygea his wrath was great. He smote Tilius and Phrygea. Thinking they were both dead he left them behind. However, Phrygea's power had kept her alive, but she had loved Tilius.
In her sadness Solari found her. He knew that if her power left the world it would be a darker place. He offered to turn her into a tree so that her power would remain, but she would no longer feel pain. Phrygea agreed.
As a tree, Phrygea still radiated her healing powers. Mortals would come rest beneath her branches. She also bore fruit which could be gathered and with the proper incantations they would stay fresh for ever. These fruits have the ability to cure poison, disease and other physical and magical afflictions. They will straighten a bent back or regrow a lost limb."
