List of Inteligent races in the world of Kayliss and a little bit about them. If they are as they apper in a basic rule book (such as D&D Monster Manual) that will be noted.
Human.
Norlander - Norsemen from the north north east. These powerful folk are tall & impressive, they most commonly have blond to white hair which is most often straight and sometimes wavy. Complexion runs from milky white to a golden tan. Males are +2 in / +10 lbs. while females are +1 in /+5 lbs. They always have blue eyes. They speak Norstounge and have a reputation for being raiders and barbarians. Most are illiterate. Skalds and shamans have an oral history that gets passed down. They are a proud race of excellent seaman. Women are considered to be property. They worship their own pantheon of gods.
Volsgaardian - These resilient people are descended from a mixing of Suelease warrior caste blood of the old empire and the native midlander kingdom they conquered. They commonly have black, dark to brown, hair. Often with ash ton es. Their hair is fine and straight. Eye color ranges from brown to hazel to green. Their complexion is often smooth and fine running from a fine white to an olive tone, which is more common than white skin. They speak Volsgaard and are semi-literate. They are very intolerant of goblins and orcs. Even half-orcs are looked upon suspiciously. All citizens (male and female) are required to serve 2 years of military service and then are subject to draft until age 30. They worship a variety of gods and tend to be open minded about new religions.
Uthgardt - barbarians that inhabit the Orclands. They are a mix of Norlanders, Suel and occasional Orc blood. Each clan worships an animal totem. Most Uthgardt speak Norstounge. Some western tribes speak Suel as well. Many also know Orcish as well. They are illiterate and rely on an oral history.
Lashien (True Tyrian) - These people are intelligent and attractive. They have blond to white hair. Their complexions run from Fair to white. This bloodline is the ancient royal line of Tyr. Their bone structure is very fine and they have a natural dignity. They speak Tyrian, are always literate, and tend to be selfish and proud. A true Tyrian is almost always related to some noble house and almost always has a title and wealth to go with it.
Tyrinor (Common Tyrian) - These people have black to light brown hair. Eye color ranging from brown to black, and a slightly tanned complexion. Similar to Romans in Appearance. They also tend to be selfish and proud like the Lashiens. They speak Tyrian and are always literate. Tyr is a wealthier kingdom than most of its neighbors and this is reflected by the people being wealthier, too. In Tyr women are second class citizen as they cannot hold any public office.
Suelease (Suel Plainsman) - They have a distinct Sahudease resemblance. They look akin to Mongols more than Sahudease though. They have brown eyes and black hair. They are also tough and highly adaptable. They speak Suel, though many know the language of nearby enemies such as the Uthgardt, Black Eagle Baronies or the orcs. They are illiterate. The Suel are excellent horsemen and have a hatred for orcs. They are killed on sight. Obvious half orcs are usually killed on sight as well, depending on who they travel with. The clans are matriarchal and family status is based entirely on their mother. However, the Khans who lead each clan are almost always male since they are the military leader. He is heavily influenced by the matriarchal council.
Anglease - Dalelands. They have any range of eye color. White skin and light brown to black hair, occasionally red or blond. They have average builds and consist most of humans in the midlands They speak Gandlish and most are semi literate. They have a reputation as being honest and hard workers.
Noran - This bloodline is scattered throughout the midlands and quite rare. They are said to be of Fehy lineage. They commonly have red hair and green or blue eyes, fine bone structure, and slightly pointed ears. They commonly have freckles of ranging intensity, though a rare few have light freckles and black hair. They are -1 in height and -5 lbs. in weight. They speak Gandlish and most are semi-literate.
Ibearian - These people inhabit the Western Isles. They are rare and few. They have black eyes and fine complexions. Their hair ranges from grey to brown to black.
Krondahar (Tyrian warfare engineered slave race) They are bred by Tyrian Artificers as slaves of the crown, for warfare, bloodsport entertainment and as bodyguards. They are all 7 ft tall, bald and with black eyes. They can have any skin color.
Sahudese - Inhabit the Eastern continent and speak Sahudease
Fellsborne - Native born in Fellstrest. They are a mix of alot of other races though they tend to have strong mix Tyrinor and Anglease features. They speak Fellstrade and usually know at least one or two more languages. All are at least semi-literate with many being literate.
Zakharan (Southlander)- Southern Continent. Very middle eastern in look and style of dress. They speak Zakharan and have a wide variety of literacy. Many North Zakharans also speak Tyrian and/or Fellstrade. Women are considered property and there are many laws that govern them.

Kender. Use halfling rules in D&D. Basically the same except less hobbit like, and more short people like. Not all Kender are as bad as the reputation. But the ones that wander out of their home towns are the curious, free spirited types and are the cause of the reputation.

Goblin, generally barbaric and tribal, however some "civilized" goblins are known to live in human cities.
Orc - Mostly barbaric, but it is not unheard of to find "civilised" orcs. Not as common as civilised goblins, though often found together.
Doppelgangers. per D&D MM
Dark Ogres. Similar to Ogres per D&D MM but bigger, meaner, sterile, created by magic, eat other sentients and need Elven blood to live.
