Black Eagle Baronies

The Black Eagle Baronies were a Tyrian territory until the Great War of 995. They broke away and re-established themselves. The culture is generally eastern european. This area is composed of many loosely allied Baronies. They do tend to squabble amongst themselves quite a bit, though. They to have many conflicts with their neighbors particularly the Suel, the Orcs and the Teridoreans. On the east they are bordered by the great Blackwoods. An area that teems with rumors of werewovles and vampires. The baronies are all rules by a strong nobility that intermarries amongst themselves. Hence nearly every noble is somehow related to each other noble family. The commoners tend to be poor. Slavery is illegal, but serfdom is not. During the time of Tyr dominance there emerged a middle class of merchants.
