Physical Description: Short dark brown hair, Green eyes. Dark tanned skin. Long, lean muscles and is very handsome.

Alexander is very personable. He is the tall, dark and handsome type and tends to drive women crazy with his green eyes. He is equally at home in the woods or in court. He is well travelled and intelligent, yet can be silent and deadly. He is usually mischievious and laughs easily, but there is the occasional gleam of sadness in his eyes as if he lost something or someone of great importance. Alexander is an excellent singer and loves to play a lute or harp. He also happens to be excellent at disguises and often changes his persona just to keep others off his trail.

Alexander loves hunting and is often accompanied by his Wolfhound, Brutus Maximus, a gift from the crown prince of Tyr. Brutus is named after the gladiator who was popular at the time, but has since retired. He also loves falconry and has a mated pair of blue-tailed hawks named Nadirah and Jabbar after the Zakharan heroes.

The Life and Times of Alexander Trokair

Alexander was born with his twin brother Sebastian to his father, Lord Achmed Trokair and his mother, Lady Jasmine Aurillius Trokair. Lord Achmed Trokair is a hero of the Great War and a friend to the Circle of the Forge, the Lords of Feltrest and the Emperor of Tyr. His wife is the beautiful gem of Zakhara. Lady Jasmine’s father was a Tyrian nobleman who was displaced when Zakhara reclaimed the lands that Tyr had conquered. Her mother was a native Zakharan whose father wanted to gain favor and status among the Tyrians. Alexander was the first born of the two twins who were born under the sign of the fox. They were rambunctious young boys taking after their father in many ways. They both inherited their fathers charm and intelligence. From their mother they received their grace and beauty.

When they were young they spent a lot of time between Tyr and Feltrest. They are good friends with the son of the Emperor. Alexander in particular used to play many a joke on the imperial princess who was about five years younger. The twins and the prince would spend a lot of time together as they grew. They would explore the palace and as they got older the city and the countryside. Alexander was particularly fond of hunting, falconry and being in the outdoors. He seemed to have a knack for befriending animals. He also enjoyed court life both in Tyr and Feltrest. He was a very social person and made many a heart swoon with his singing. He was continually falling “in love” with a new girl every few weeks. As he got older he settled down somewhat, but his playboy image has never gone away.

Just before his 18^th birthday he and Sebastian had a great falling out and a terrible argument. Sebastian was enraptured with Sun-Ye, a Sahud. Alexander had a secret crush on Sun-Ye at the time and let his jealousy get the better of him. Alexander told Sebastian that their mother and father did not approve of Sun-Ye as a match and would refuse to let them marry. This was completely untrue, but Alexander was embittered. Believing it was true, Sebastian and Sun-ye ran away immediately. Alexander knew he had done his brother wrong, but he was too proud to admit his mistake. Besides, Sebastian was gone and no one knew where to.

Eventually Alexander came of age and was encouraged by his father to explore the world. Alexander travelled all over Tyr, the Dalelands, Zakhara and Volkrad. He even visited the great Magemark Wilds. During his travels Alexander continued his hunting looking for more and more exotic animals.

On one trip he travelled with a caravan. Also travelling with the caravan was a woman named Shallara. Shallara was a raven-haired beauty who was an excellent dancer and singer. Of course Alexander immediately fell “in love”. They got along very well together and Alexander learned that she was a member of the Harper Guild. She would travel from city to city, town to town and perform and sing. Alexander began to accompany her and learned more about the Harpers. He discovered their purpose was to teach and educate while preserving history and knowledge. This seemed like a noble purpose to Alexander. Alexander already had some musical talent and Shallara improved on it. She taught him how to captivate an audience and influence them with his music. Eventually Alexander became initiated in the guild. On one of his many trips with Shallara she said they needed to make a side trip. They went into the countryside and Shallara led him to some ancient ruins. Shallara explained that there was an evil vampire in the ruins who had been terrorizing the countryside and their job was to clear him out.

The entire episode went terribly wrong. Too late they discovered it was a trap. Fighting their way out they barely managed to escape, but Shallara was ill. She had been poisoned by the undead in the ruins and would not survive the night. At this point she told Alexander of her mission. She was an agent for the Harpers and the information they had gained on the vampire must be relayed back to headquarters. As Shallara breathed her last breath Alexander kissed her. He put her body on their extra horse and rushed back to the nearest Harper Hall. He explained what happened to the master harper. The master sent out a larger group to deal with the vampire and asked Alexander to lead them to the tomb and past the traps. In his earlier escape he had found a hidden back door into the ruins. The group entered the ruins and slew the undead infestation and the vampire itself. Alexander himself put the initial stake in the vampires heart, crying as he did so.

From then on Alexander’s wanderings took on a new meaning. He became one of the Harper Agents, gathering information and using his skills to bring about the downfall of evil. Travelling in his various guises he could get nearly everywhere. His hunting skills were doubly useful when travelling or when hunting down brigands or worse.

Eventually his work brought him to the doorstep of an evil mage. This mage was trying to get his hands on a powerful artifact and Alexander had to stop him. Unfortunately he arrived too late and the mage had already used the artifact. He had summoned an ancient earth elemental and used it to raze a nearby village. When Alexander came upon the scene he was astounded to find two people attempting to battle the elemental. Sebastian and Sun-Ye were hopelessly trying to fight the elemental. Sebastian was mortally wounded and Sun-Ye was able to carry him from the village. Sebastian vowed that he would never again be the tool of evil. After hearing the vow Alexander stepped from the shadows. He knew the truth in his brothers words and pulled out his last healing potion to stabilize him.

When Sebastian had recovered and the brothers were reconciled, Alexander began to explain about the Harpers. Sebastian believed in the idea and together they travelled to Tyr and stood before the Council of Masters. The masters were unsure of Sebastian. They knew his reputation and they were not sure he was right for the guild. Alexander told them what had happened and explained that his brother had changed. So the masters conferred and gave a quest to Sebastian. After a lot of seeking and adventuring the trio succeeded and Sebastian and Sun-Ye were allowed into the guild.

Over the next five years the trio worked well together and accomplished much good in the name of the Harpers.

Brutus Maximus - Wolfhound

Gift from the Crown Prince of Tyr. Brutus Maximuis is named after one of the most popular gladiators of the last decade. Brutus the gladiator no longer fights, but he was a favorite of Alexander when he was younger.
