Evelynn usually travels wearing black or dark brown clothes of very fine workmanship, though not flashy or elaborate, just good quality and good work. She normally wears her hood up to hide her memorable hair and eyes. Across her back slung a well-maintained bastard sword of an unusual, black metal. The scabard is trimmed with very fine, delicate silver etchings of leaves and swirls. A matching scabard, though much shorter, hangs from her right hip and contains short sword of the same shiny black material. Around her neck hangs a fine silver chain from which hangs a star roughly two inches in height, set into the center of the of the star is ruby tear-drop. She also wears around her neck another silver amulet, though this one she usually keeps beneath her cloak and shirt. From it's end hangs a circle, roughly four inches in diameter, and split into three seperate sections. Only one of the sections actually contains a piece of gemstone, an emerald by the looks of it. The other two sections are empty, though they contain a faint hue of color from the gems which perhaps were once within those sockets; one red, the other blue. She usually travels with a well trained light-warhorse named Tien`Daishar, a elven word from the Elysian dialect, though she normally just calls her Shar. She seems unusually close to the animal, frequently speaking to her as she would a friend and spoiling the animal with treats constantly.

From the time she was able to remember anything Evelynn had lived on the Island of the Oracle, in the Lake of Polydianess. Though a religious order dedicated to the future and making the best of if that could be had, the Order of the Oracle also often served as couriers and so Evelynn grew up out of doors, learning the live in the woods. For many years her life was simple. Wake in the morning, eat, out to chores, lunch, study, to bed in the evening. The routine varied occasionally as she traveled with one member of the Order or another on journeys as a courier, but she never strayed far from the Great Lake. Growing up amoungst The Order she noticed quickly that she was a little different than the rest, but her concerns were always brushed away by those around her. Others, outsiders at any rate, took notice of those differences, however, when she ventured beyond the island that they called home. So after a short while she choose to stop going out on trips with the others of the Order, and spent her time on the island itself.
Twenty-five years into her life that routine changed. One day she was asked into the presence of The Oracle, leader of the Order. It was there that she learned a little of the differences setting her apart from those around her. It was there also that was she given a task. "Seek out Gwendolyn Fairblade of the Circle of the Forge and deliver to her a message." The Oracle told Evelynn that she would not be returning to the Island after the completion of this task, despite Evelynn's protests that of course she would return to The Order. Before she left she was presented with an amulet that the Oracle had been given from Evelynn's father with instructions that she would know when it was time to pass this on to his daughter. After gathering her gear and supplies, Evelynn bid farewell to those friends she'd made within the Order, and set off on a journey that would change the world, and lead to her becoming a member of the Circle of the Forge. And so began the tales of Evelynn, and the Circle of the Forge...
***** Years Later *****
Evelynn's name is recognizable due to the fact that she was once, and is still, a member of the group known as the Circle of the Forge. The Circle, based in the Volsgaardian city of Lotroyan, became a known entity in the public eye some a little over three decades ago starting with mercenary work, but soon becoming part of the elite of the world. Towards the end of the ascension into fame and glory they aided Emperor Alorn Kenleverin in ousting his brother from where he had tyranically ruled over the Tyrian Empire. Known to the Circle as Deltari Myth while he was traveling with them.
Throughout the course of the War Evelynn, as well as the others of the Circle who participated in it, earned officer comissions in the Tyrian army, though none pursued it further after the war had ended. Del also granted them small estates, which had been owned previously by lackies of his brother. The estate that Evelynn "inherited" was run by a man named Arturos Veltini. A very capable beaurocrat and administrator who was quite happy to have his services pass on to one of "the liberators of Tyr" as many called the Circle after the war. Along with the estate came a noble title, Lady, though she rarely uses it.
After spending five or so years helping to rebuild Tyr and establish order Evelynn finally decided to tend to some of her own business. Knowing she would have no way to maintain the estate she graciously bequethed in unto Lord Veltini. Thus she gathered supplies for a long journey, and spent many months traveling around the continent visiting members of The Circle who had spread themselves across the lands after the Great War. Within a year of passing her estate to her steward, Lord Veltini, Evelynn had arrived at the Elvish city of Elysia, secluded deep on the Dragon's Head Peninsula, beyond the lands of the Grudatchi. There she spent many years convincing the Elves of her interest in the ways of their Priestesses, eventually earning the right to be called a Priestess of Elysia.
Despite her remote location she still managed to maintain contact with her friends outside, particularly Achmed Trokair, Zeke Munstead and Emperor Alorn Kenleverin. Living amound the Elves time seemed to flow by as water on the river and before she had realized it her friends were growing old and having families. Taking a leave of her studies as a Priestess, though truth be told she never really needed to study as the others did, everything just came naturally to her, she left her small house amound the Elysian trees and ventured back into a world much changed in the twenty years since she'd last walked in it. Achmed was living a happy life, father of two rambunctious teenage boys. Zeke had retired from wandering many years past, and now had assistants and aides by the handful to help him compile his Book of All Languages. Del, vigorous even past age 50, was still ruling Emperor of Tyr, though he had mentioned maybe stepping down and letting one of his sons take on the mantle of leadership... In another twenty years perhaps. Arturos also was well, tending to the lands, which had expanded since she had last been there. He now had a wife of his own, and three fine children growing. Well, one was still growing, though well into her teens, she was learning the ways of administration from her father, planning to take over in a few years so he could retire and live the rest of his years in peace and quiet. The others had alread grown and taken the first steps into their adult life, one, the middle son, becoming an officer in the Tyrian military. His eldest, a daughter, had married into one of the minor noble houses of Tyr, and was getting ready to start raising some children of her own.
After assuring herself that the world was still at peace and nothing was looming over the far horizon, Evelynn returned to her small home with the Elves. Life was good there, everyone accepted her and no one questioned, as had happened while she was out amoung the humans, why she looked no different now than she had 20 years previously. Her friends knew, of course, but they never spoke of it. LIfe passed, with Evelynn studying amoung the elves, acquiring new texts of history as she found them, occasional raids from the Grudatchi, and years drifted by again without notice. Until something did begin to spark her notice.
She first caught a glimpse of it while out with the Elysian army rebuking a raid by the Grudatchi out of the Wildlands. Something was stirring, and darkness was returning to places it had once abandoned. Something was amiss. Evelynn began to try and learn about things as she could while still with the elves, but being so remote and removed it was difficult, so once again she packed for a journey. Traveling north from the peninsula she set out to see if her friend Zeke had heard the same rumblings of evil that she had. And there our second story begins.
